Mohan L. Rai

Begründer und Direktor des Shamanistic Studies and Research Centre in Kathmandu/Nepal. Mohan L. Rai, Jg. 1928, ist eine zentrale Persönlichkeit der schamanischen Kultur im Himalaya. Er arbeitet mit Schamanen aus ganz Nepal zusammen, die ihre Heiltraditionen noch unberührt leben und praktizieren. Durch sein ungebrochenes Engagement erfahren die noch traditionell lebenden Stammeskulturen wachsende Wichtigkeit und Unterstützung. Mohan L. Rai stammt aus dem Grenzgebiet Nepal/Bhutan und gehört zum mongolischen Volk der Rai bzw. Kirati. Sein Vater war ein berühmter Kirati-Schamane (Mundum). Mohan L. Rai spricht über 10 Sprachen.

…Founder and Director of Shamanistic Studies and Research Centre in Kathmandu/Nepal was born in 1928 in Dorokha/Buthan. He is a central personality of the shamanistic culture in the Himalayan. He works together with a group of healers of different tribes and regions. Through his great engagement the healers and the traditions of their tribes in Nepal get more acceptance and support by their government as an effective way of health and healing. Mohan L. Rai is a member to the Mongolian people of the Rai respectively the Kirati. His father was an important shaman of the Kiratis (Mundum). Mohan L. Rai speaks more than 10 languages.
